Rainbow Restaurant - Fayetteville: Classic Diner Serving Home-Style Southern Cuisine Since 1938

Really cool diner that opened in the late 1930s. The service and all the food we tried were really good. We were greeted and seated right away. The waitress did a great job helping and answered any questions we had about the menu. Prices are very reasonable!

I've driven past Rainbow Restaurant so many times and thought I bet it is a nice home-style restaurant. I wasn't disappointed. We were greeted upon entry. There was a short wait, but to be expected on a Sunday afternoon. Once seated, our waitress brought us water and menus to start. The atmosphere felt like a classic diner. It was very comfortable. We didn't have to wait long to be served our food, and it was delicious. Our waitress, Amber, was very friendly, helpful, and patient. Our hostess explained Rainbow is the longest running restaurant in Fayetteville having opened in 1938. I'm looking forward to our next meal there.

Excellent food and service around 12:30 yesterday! We had a flounder/shrimp platter with fried okra, a porkchop plate with white rice, fried okra, a mushroom Swiss burger with fries and a salad and a chicken fried steak plate with double mashed potatoes and fried okra. The only complaint was the white rice. It was definitely instant rice. That's never appetizing. We're Filipino and know good rice. This wasn't it.

Our breakfast was really really good and had a lot of flavor. The lady that helped us was extremely nice and made sure my daughters had their food on time on the table. Will definitely be coming back

Just moved to the area and took my mother to try this local favorite right down the road. Has an old school feel, a no nonsense menu which I like, and very friendly staff. Enjoyed the cornbeef hash and western omelet we had. Coffee never ran dry. Some of the food was a little on the greasy side but will definitely be back, especially to treat a hangover.

The service and atmosphere is so nostalgic. It was a diner setting. The staff was very polite and kind . The food came out quickly! The cheese bites were amazing along with the other food. I recommend the tempura shrimp and ribs! Very tender and cooked to perfection. The cabbage was very flavorful and tender also! Great price for a good amount of food. We ended up with leftovers! Definitely try this place!

Clean and inviting restaurant! We were seated promptly. I was super impressed with their lunch/dinner menu! They have something for whatever you desire! Our presentation, taste, and portions were perfect! Our waitress was the best as well! We've had Rainbow Restaurant for breakfast previously, and it's amazing also! Definitely on our list of favorite restaurants!
